Greetings!
It is the month of September and Fall is beginning to show it's face. For those in the education arena, lesson plans are brought up to date and revamped for the new batch of students coming into the classroom. This prepration could be applied to all of us as we move towards a new year. We can take a look at the various policies and procedures that are in place to see if they too need a bit of 'freshening up' to match the demographic of our diverse workforce.
Warmest Regards,
Colette

On any given day, more than 6,000 men, women and children are searching the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry for a life-saving donor. These patients have leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases that can be treated by a bone marrow or cord blood transplant. For many of these patients, a transplant may be the best and only hope of a cure.
We work to provide hope and deliver a cure to all patients in need. With your support, more patients can access the treatment they so desperately need.

Education For Diversity - What Should We Have in Our Program?
Author: Ken Long
So, you're a new manager at a new job and you've determined that to improve your organization's performance, you need to conduct training and education on diversity for your people. They seem genuinely interested in supporting the new program and are looking forward to training. So what exactly is it that you should train them on? What kinds of qualities are we looking for in a diverse workforce? What are the individual characteristics that make a worker competent culturally?
